Everyone loves pasta, especially me. I don't just love to eat them but I love to cook them too. That is the reason why I strongly believe that gardening and cooking should be partnered. Because whatever vegetables, herbs or fruits that you have planted on your backyard might be part of the ingredients of your meals. Weather changes so fast. We used to experience a very hot season for the past few months but now, the rain is starting to fall again. This only means that rainy season is already coming. Others are already preparing their houses for storms and flood but we are all praying that it won't get to the point where our houses will be washed out. As a gardener, I am also making preparations for my small garden. I don't want to see my flowers, fruits and vegetables overflowing with water. So I have decided to buy additional raised bed gardens. You can't just add any other plants because of it's benefit. Choosing carefully the ones that will go with your interior decoration is a must. Remember, that these houseplants can add value to your home, while helping you reduce stress and fatigue at home. Yes, you can add paintings to the wall to make a room more brighter, but adding a plant does not only brighten a room, it also cleanses the air that you breathe in.

A friend of mine who recently hosted a housewarming party, invited me to join the party. The housewarming party was successful and everyone who came really enjoyed the food, drinks and most of all the warm conversation. Before I left, I help her clean up the house and gave her a gift that will add up to her collection of succulent plants. Flowering plants are always the best. Besides providing fruit, there are many types of flowers that can also be eaten or are edible. Popular examples of which are, rose and pansy. Another value of a flowering plant is the fact that they are used widely for decorations. The presence of flowers elevates events like birthdays, weddings, funerals and many other special occasion. Their advantage as ornamentation at home and many commercial spaces also helps a place to be more attractive. Out of the many flowering plants, a gardenia plant is one of my favorite on the list. They are best known for their fragrant white flowers and are commonly known as cape jasmine. Gardenias are light-loving evergreen shrubs. Most gardeners I knew, would easily give up on gardenias because of their finicky nature. But for me, the more effort you give in caring for a plant, the more it is rewarding to see the blooms of these flowers. I love to place these potted plants or gardenias in basket indoors because of the fragrance that their flowers emit. Gardenias in basket are also very attractive to look at in patios or even in any table tops.

These gardenias are tricky plants that requires consistent maintenance and also very particular in their growing conditions, so you must really understand what they need in order to survive.

A Lovely Garden Party

Throwing party or a small gathering takes a lot of time and effort. Thus, we make basic preparations and getting help from people you trusted will ensure that the event will be a success. A close friend of mine ask for my help to prepare for her thanksgiving party because she passed the board exam. Without a doubt, I immediately said yes, because I wanted not just to be part of that event but also in making the event a successful one. We already started planning from the guest list to the souvenirs or gifts that she will be giving to their guests. Since the party will be held in the garden, we are thinking of giving away flowers inside a key chain.

Selecting the people to invite is a bit harder than I thought. It's because we have to make sure that the group of people you invite should not have any rivalries or else problems will surely arise. Next step is making sure that there is ample foods and drinks as well as setting up limitation on guests' drinking alcoholic beverage. And lastly, are the gifts to be given to the invited guests. We bought square small terrariums with a unique mini terrarium keychain as a perfect gift. These square small terrariums are filled with an abundance of dried colorful flowers. Although we have not yet decided if we should add some games, just to hype up the party, but at least some of the most important things are already finish.

We are just hoping that the party would turn out well and that there's gonna be enough food and drinks for everyone. Hosting a party is always a stressful one, but the good thing about it, is knowing that you will be able to share whatever blessings you may have received.

Love Is All That Matters

 

Love is the greatest gift that we received from God. It is something that we should cherish and never play with, because, it is sacred and could either make or break a person. They say that you must first love yourself before you could give love to others. Because if you know how to love yourself, then, it is easier to love others and forgive them when in times they make mistakes. There are many ways that we could show someone we love them. One of the many forms of loving is by giving them gifts, it is not buying their love, but instead, showing them what you can give without expecting for anything in return. Material things, like, jewelries, perfumes, shoes, bags, teddy bears, bouquet of flowers with chocolates and many more are just examples of stuff that we could give to someone we love.

Last year, when my husband and I had our anniversary he brought me a gift which I treasured and cared for the most. It is a true love lucky bamboo. The arrangement was called true love lucky bamboo because of it's design. The lucky bamboos have been curved over several weeks to develop a single heart shape. Now, it has grown bigger and the heart shaped became more bolder. Every time I see the them, my heart would skip a few beats because I can see how my husband's love for me grows too. I am very thankful for God has blessed me with a wonderful family, something that is not perfect but it is something that I could call my own.

In life, we must always learn how to be contented with the little things that God has given us. Greed is the result of people who do not know how to appreciate life's simple pleasure. And love is the best solution, because when you give love, forgiveness, understanding and all other things would just follow.
